The outdoor plaza, allows for year round dining with an outdoor piazza ambience yet guests are protected from the elements with a soaring skylight and heated floors. The menu is traditional French with classics like the perfectly prepared French onion soup, escargot and salade nicoise. Specialties include dry-aged steaks like the wagyu bar steak or the 18oz. dry aged strip steak, feeling particularly hungry, the “Plateau Du Boucher” is a grand tasting of all the favorites. Ocean Prime is a modern American restaurant in the heart of midtown specializing in the freshest seafood, prime cuts of steak, signature cocktails and an impressive wine list. We tried the ahi tuna tartare and the Sonoma goat cheese ravioli to start and were very impressed. We were in a seafood mood so we opted for the teriyaki salmon and the chilean sea bass as our main courses and they were truly fresh and cooked just right. Russian Samovar is one of my favorite restaurants with great food, cocktails and live music. Maybe because of my Russian heritage I am biased, but nothing is more uplifting then great entertainment during your meal. Traditional dishes include Borscht, the Russian trio of salads including oliviet, shuba, and vinegrat. Siberian pelmeni and Vareniki are house favorites. Russian main course staples like Chicken Kiev and Beef Stroganoff are highly recommended. Infused Vodka cocktails were the drink choices for us. The pear, pineapple and peach are perfect for summer. 212 Steakhouse is the only restaurant on the East Coast serving authentic Kobe Beef. We came here specifically for the 212 Premium Selection Tasting ($135) which includes a USDA Prime Filet Mignon Cut 6oz, Australian Wagyu Skirt Steak 10oz, and of course Kobe Beef 2oz. Good Health Cafe is a neighborhood favorite on the Upper East Side. For over 30 years this eatery has offered homemade food, catering to vegans, vegetarians, and healthy food eaters. A vast menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner choices. We dined on Salmon Teriyaki with brown rice and veggies, buffalo wings, and fried cauliflower.
