Located between Clinton Hill and Bed- Stuy in Brooklyn this richly wooded rustic eatery with a homey feel features farm to table fare sourced by local purveyors with the menu rotating seasonally.
The crafted cocktail menu features cocktails like the “Bad Hombre”, our favorite: Hornitos tequila, Jalapeño & Cilantro infused syrup and fresh lime juice. The beer menu is plentiful with rotating IPA’s on tap.
During our dinner we were encouraged to try the specials. The red snapper was light and flaky while the Sullivan country farms trout was full of flavor in a rich brown butter sauce served with fingerling potatoes and green beens. The Pork Chop was a thick cut served with roasted carrots and apricot chutney. The baby back ribs are a must try and can be shared as the serving is plentiful. The meat is tender and practically falls off the bone. Also highly recommended are the brussels sprouts with bacon and maple syrup. For dessert Chef Mike’s favorite grandmother cheesecake is a perfect way to end the meal.
