With reports of repeated gun violence in NYC and around the country ,and no end in sight it was a pleasure to attend the inaugural campaign of a socially conscious fashion brand UN:DO aptly titled UN:LOAD. Founded by fashion entrepreneur Jack Klauber this ethically made in New York Brand ,with a Brooklyn Aesthetic and Berlin Culture Vibe focuses on gender- neutral ready- to- wear apparel and jewelry. The garments are distressed, tattered and no two garments are exactly alike.
UN:DO Donates 20% of all sales to the not-for-profit-organization Cure Violence. This organization focuses on reducing gun violence and saving lives in communities across the U.S. by using the methods and strategies associated with disease control- detecting and interrupting conflicts, identifying and treating the highest risk individuals and changing social norms- resulting in reductions of 40 to 70%. Cure Violence also provides much needed job opportunities to previously incarcerated individuals.
